Our to 5 Martinique Bars are:

Le frisson sucré

This beach bar is number one on the list purly due to its location on Le Diamant beach. This is one of the most beautiful and perfect beaches in the Caribbean. It's the perfect post card.

The sand is powder with a white huge to it. The waters are emerald and turquoise. No perfect beach setting would be complete with out palmtrees. Their a palmtrees for days here. It looks like they were all perfectly planted to provide shade to beach goers.

Ti Sable

Located on a beautiful white sand beach; lined with palmtrees in Les Anses-d'Arlet, Ti Sable is a perfect beach bar. This is a major tourist spot for French nationals. Their will also be lots of cruisers mixed in. The anchorage is always packed.

Like every other east side town, this is a sleepy beach town. Tourists line the beach, sip drinks and swim in the turquoise waters all day. Their always little fish swimming around you feet here. Their are a few other places on this strip of beach to eat and get drinks but this is my favorite out of all of them.

If you are a cruiser it is a very accessable spot. Their is a dinghy dock at the south end of the beach. Just be careful when you anchor here. If you can't get into one of the few sand wholes be sure to use a weed anchor. The bottom is full of sea grass.

Chez Lamartine

Located in the customs port of Sainte-Anne Chez Lamarine is a good land mark to start your exploring. As in almost every little town in Martinique, bars are comingled with other businesses. All you have to do is head in to the dinghy dock and walk along the waterfrount. You will find plenty of places for a drink overlooking the water.

Zanzibar

In the massive charter port of Le Marin, Zanzibar is a great spot for tourist and cruisers. It's located right on a little spit of beach and is pumping out music on the weekends. It is the hotspot to party on the weekends. You will find a lot of credit card captain's here along with seasoned salts.

The anchorage right in front of the bar is a great place to anchor your boat for the weekend. It is well protected and the holding is great. It's always quite a scene at Zanzibar and I promise you will have a great time there.

Whole In the Wall

Now the name of the bar isn't whole in the wall. I just forgot the name and couldn't find it on these maps. I can give you great directions though. When you get to the dinghy dock walk up to the street and take a left. Once your past the outdoor market start looking to your right and with in a few hundred yards you should see a red awning with beer taps and local frenchmen inside. Go in its a friendly spot with tv's to catch the soccer game or formula one.

Their is more action to the left of the dinghy dock. If you head right though their are a few spots where you can get a drink. One place inparticular is an actual beach bar and they do have wi-fi. We never made it their for some reason but their were always one or two people during the day having a beer and chilling on the black sand in the shadow of Mount Pelee.
