Our to 5 Barbuda Anchorages are:

17 Mile Beach

I'd really hate to blow up this spot so if your reading this please hit the back button on your browser NOW. Why are you still reading don't you listen? Ok fine.

This is the best spot in the Caribbean. Hands down, no comparison it's the best the Caribbean has to offer. I have been to every island, pretty much every beach and anchorage known to man. THIS IS THE BEST.

When I first arrived at 17 mile beach I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I had never seen any pictures or even heard about it untill my 3rd year of cruising.

Totally blown away by it's beauty I dropped anchor the second I rounded the corner. I had no idea what the bottom composition was and I thought it's probally crappy, no one is here. I dove down to find my anchor, it was gone. Completely burried in pink sand. My anchor never burried like this and in pink sand? OMG I found paradise.

Their are ZERO services here. I mean nothing. You have to be totally self sufficent while your hear. Take that into account. Their is nothing to do here except swim and sit on the beach. If your looking for any kind of action their is none. Just total solitude.

Cocoa Bay

This is a good anchorage and apparently their is a hotel their. It is a super sketchy entrance and location. Their reefs and pop up rocks a few feet under water everywhere.

Gravenor Bay

try an avoid this area unless you have someone in the rigging to scout where the reefs are. They are scattered along with random rocks everywhere. Be wicked careful if you head in here.

Pink Sand Bay

Word on the water is the sand is pinker here then it is on 17 mile beach. I'm not sure how that is possible but it is. This anchorage is very prone to getting swell into it. If their is any hint of east os south swell it will affect this anchorage. Just head around the corner to 17 mile and you will be good.
