Beaches

If you want to get away from work without really getting away from work; don’t worry. Barbados wants to be the first country on the planet that has full wi-fi coverage. That means that even deserted beaches have seriously fast and free wi-fi. I know its incredible, you should have seen the look on my face when I was taking a picture of a perfect beach and E-mails started coming through.

Best Beaches

Stick to the south and south east beaches. They have white to tan very fine sand and are generally overhung by trees and palms. The water is turquoise and crystal clear. My favorite beaches while I was their were

Shoal Bay Beach

Rendezvous Bay Beach

Meads Bay Beach

Maundays Bay Beach

Sandy Island Beach

Anchorages

Their aren’t very many good spots to anchor in Anguilla except on the east coast and their were only two that I saw boats is. Marine services down their are MINIMAL so make sure your boat is in top shape before heading over or its a 110 miles to Rodney Bay where they can fix anything (just ask for elvis)

Activities

Shoal Bay Beach

Rendezvous Bay Beach

Meads Bay Beach

Maundays Bay Beach

Sandy Island Beach

If you don’t like going to the beach maybe Anguilla isn’t the place for you. You can swim with the Dolphins at Blowing Point, which is always a great experience.

Head down to the Beach.

Most of the time I would expect people to just chill out, relax on the beautiful white sand beaches and swim in the crystal clear turquoise waters that surround the entire island, and of course boat tours, boat rentals, snorkeling, diving, tanning and boat charters.
